A message from our founder
We want to help our local cats + dogs
Spring Creek is a small, rural community in Madison County: an area known for its scenic mountain setting and its stray canines & felines. With no leash laws and a propensity for dumping animals, there is a never ending need for rescue in this area.
Meet our Rescues
We've rescued and fostered numerous animals since moving to our rural community, but the list of animals needing our help is endless. That's why we created this storefront: to help cover the costs of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming stray dogs and cats.
Luna
Luna was a skinny little plott hound stray that wandered onto our property and refused to leave. We got her up to date on shots, spayed, and socialized. Luna was rehomed to an active couple in Asheville. She loves hikes and napping!
Scarlett
Scarlett was brought to us by a neighbor. She'd been roaming our community for days. We found her owner and learned that he'd had a lot of trouble keeping her from running away. We offered to have him rehome Scarlett to us and he agreed that it would be best for her. Scarlett loves going for runs and hikes!
Bruce Wayne
Bruce Wayne was a stray found by one of our neighbors. She wasn't able to keep him and no one stepped up to foster, so we took him in. We worked hard with Bruce to turn him into the perfect dog for his new mom and dad! He was neutered, leash trained (joined the run club pre-goats), and was working on his obedience training. Bruce is now living happily with his other lab siblings a few hours east of us.
Ember
Ember was found in Georgia by a friend of a friend. She was a community kitten without a home, in search of love. We had Ember transported to us and scheduled her for a spay. Within a couple of weeks, Ember was adopted by one of our neighbors!
Maggie
Maggie was a starving stray found by a neighbor a couple of years ago. Our neighbor brought her up to health and worked hard to find a furever home for her, but for one reason or another, all prospective adopters fell through. We will be evaluating Maggie over the coming weeks and months to see whether she would make a good fit for our home (adoption) or whether she'd be a better fit elsewhere (foster). She's a total sweetheart but needs some encouragement with leash training and not chasing kitties. For more updates on Maggie, be sure to follow us on social media, @prettysweetacres
