Molly came to us from a neighbor in need — her previous owner had lost his home and wanted to make sure she ended up somewhere safe and stable. We welcomed her to Pretty Sweet Acres with open arms (and lots of treats), but let’s just say Molly wasn’t entirely convinced at first.
After a couple of bold escape attempts, she finally settled in with our other Great Pyrenees — just in time to join the search for our missing goats.. With the help of Friends of Madison County Animals, we got her spayed, helped her put on some healthy weight, and gave her space to decompress.
Then came the twist: a neighbor down the road reached out — their beloved LGD had passed, and they were hoping to find a new guardian for their goats. Molly’s now on a trial run with them, and we’re crossing our fingers that she’s found her perfect forever farm.
No matter what happens, she’ll always be part of the PSA family. 💛
It looks like we’re adopting some “rescue” goats in a couple of weeks, let’s go ahead and add them to the site and say “coming soon”! Here’s their story:
These two Nigerian Dwarf sisters are packing their bags (okay, maybe just a snack bucket) and heading to Pretty Sweet Acres!
At four years old, Charlize (horns) and Victoria (hornless, but not spineless) have been through some goat drama. Their original family brought in a younger pair of goats a year later, but one turned out to be a bit of a barnyard bully. Separate goat households became too much to manage, so their humans went looking for a loving farm where these sisters could live their best lives — together and unbothered.
We’re thrilled to welcome them soon and give them a fresh start, plenty of space, and the pampered pasture life they deserve. Stay tuned for updates on their arrival and adjustment — these girls are already part of the PSA herd in our hearts.
